i've always liked the idea of keeping plants, but consistantly struggled on actually keeping them or finding joy from them. turns out, the act of watching something grow makes all the difference.

currently growing:

  • strawberries
  • blackberries
  • lemonbalm
  • lavender
  • avocados
  • chamomile

short term projects:

  • start seeds for indoor herb garden
  • re-pot starberry plant into a better draining and bigger pot
  • purchase seeds
  • figure out plan with sprouting potatoes

general yearly plans

for first few months, seeds will likely be started indoors a month early; by late may/early june they will be pre-sprouted and sewn directly into the earth.

april

  • california poppies/local native wildflowers (considering ordering Northwest Seedles seed bombs)
  • broccoli
  • carrots
  • leeks
  • onions
  • spinach
  • tomatoes (planning to buy from local Master Gardeners chapter during annual plant sale on the 27 and 28th)

may

  • beets
  • marigolds
  • peppers (potentially multiple kinds, depending on space)
  • sunflowers

june

  • cucumbers
  • green beans
